He started out as a prosecutor, honing the trial prowess that would later become his trademark. 28 verdicts and more than 200 settlements above $1 million have resulted from Mr. Rubinowitz’s careful approach to case preparation and trial work in matters involving car accidents, wrongful deaths, premises accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice, and products liability. Along with his trial advocacy abilities, Mr. Rubinowitz has also prevailed in appellate arguments before the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.

Mr. Rubinowitz received the title of “Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year” for the fourth time. Ben was named “Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury in 2017, “Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year” for Products Liability in 2016, and “Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury in 2013 for his work on behalf of people injured as a result of the negligence of others. Ben most recently received the 2018 “Lawyer of the Year” award from Best Lawyers.

Outside of the courtroom, people are interested in Mr. Rubinowitz’s expertise and legal knowledge. He has appeared as a legal expert on Court TV and co-writes a regular trial advocacy piece for the New York Law Journal. He has given lectures in more than 400 continuing legal education programs to date, and most recently, the Judicial Institute asked him to address judges and mediators. Mr. Rubinowitz was asked to speak at the NYS Judicial Conference on Medical Malpractice as a reward for his accomplishment as a trial lawyer. Additionally, he has given lectures at Edinburgh, Scotland’s Queen’s Counsel Solicitors and Advocates. Mr. Rubinowitz teaches an advanced trial procedure course at Cardozo Law School as an adjunct professor of law.
